Attila Lake | Northern France

If out-and-out action is what you are looking for on your trip to France then the up-and-coming Attila is very hard to beat. Fishing Attila now is very much how Fox was in the very early days with action aplenty from carp between 15 and 28lb. However, to keep everyone on their toes, lurking between those smaller fish are a good head of bigger one's that include a number of 40 pounders.

Can i buy extra bait at Abbey?

Yes there is a tackle shop on site and you will find all the necessary tackle or baits you need for a successful stay with a good selection of items from the likes of Mainline Baits, Avid Carp and Fox International. The tackle shop is open on your request - just ask the bailiff.

How far is Attila Lake from Calais?

The Abbey Lakes complex is situated only 140 miles from the port of Calais and has an estimated time of arrival of 2 hours and 10 minutes.

I have a bait boat, are they allowed on Attila?

Bait boats can be used on all of the lakes on the Abbey complex and if you have one we recommend that you bring it along.

Do I need any specialist gear to catch on Attila?

Absolutely not. In fact, tackling Attila is very much like fishing many of the medium sized gravel pits found in the UK. The venue can be weedy at times so tackle up accordingly with a sensible mainline and bring lots of bait! There's plenty of fish in Attila and they like to eat.
