Cassien is situated in the South of France, not far from Nice and Cannes. Made famous in the mid 1980's by captures such as Kevin Ellis' 76lb monster, the lake has continued to produce huge carp for the last two decades.

Our base by the lake means that we can offer trips all through the year and gives you the option of comfortable accommodation or bivvy holidays on the bank.

Home to carp over 70lb, Cassien continues to draw anglers from all over Europe and if you want to experience the fishing on one of the worlds most impressive venues then look no further.

    Cassien is no pushover however you can rest assured as we provide you with expert guidance and top of the range equipment, whilst putting you first to ensure that you have a relaxed and hopefully productive stays on the 'King of Lakes' in Southern France.

    All of our equipment is exactly what you need to fish Cassien so there is no need to bring anything with you other than reels, buzzers, sleeping bag and your terminal tackle box.

    3 x Freespirit xsive 12ft 3.5lb T/C Rods (50mm).

    1) ON THE BANK PACKAGE - ALL YEAR ROUND

    One week - £295 for one person
    Two weeks - £400 for one person
    Promotion for 2 people - 1 week £450 or 2 weeks £800

    £100.00 deposit payable at the time of booking with the remaining the balance to be paid in euros upon arrival to the resort.

    14th June-10th Sept - No legal night fishing but you can still stay on bank or accommodation can be provided through the basecamp package.

    Cassien is most productive during the morning and in the evenings with the nights being usually the least productive periods. Please DONT be put of by the night fishing ban.

    2) BASE CAMP PACKAGE - ALL YEAR ROUND

    Total package Including boat, echo sounder, engine, all equipment etc. You get full use of the base camp with swimming pool, bar, restaurant, free wi-fi and expert tuition. £100.00 deposit payable at the time of booking with the remaining balance of £250 to be paid in euros at the resort.

    *Additional days €60,00 payable directly at the resort.

    *Option to rent private caravan €400-600 per week depending on the season. The caravan can also be rented out on a daily basis and can be used by anglers of non angling family's, couples or pairs visiting the South of France.

    3) LONG WEEKEND

    Fri-Mon or Mon-Fri - £200

    You will need a sleeping bag, buzzers, reels and terminal tackle. Unless you purchase terminal items when you arrive.

    4) FULLY INCLUSIVE - ALL YEAR ROUND

    Want to get the best out of your trip? I offer full guidance where you will fish with me on the bank for one week or longer. I provide the food and cook all the meals during your stay and bait is also provided!

    Lac De Saint-Cassien is 1500 acres of carp heaven! There are three arms, North, South and West. Features include depths down to 110 ft, plateau's, marginal weed beds, silt, sand, gravel, rocky out crops, submerged islands and snags.

    Temperatures around 30 degrees are common from April on wards with temperatures peaking around 40 degrees through July and August. The nights are warm and pleasant to fish in. During winter day time temperatures are between 12-18 degrees providing cooler, comfortable carp fishing conditions which are perfect if you want a break from colder conditions at home.

    April through to December are all good times to be on Cassien and during the summer the warmer water conditions are great for fishing and for scuba diving whilst you wait!
    October through to March are quieter periods to be on the lake which provide the angler with lots of options and we have had fish to 56lb during December.

    You can fly to nice from 15 airports across England, Wales and Ireland. These Include: Belfast, Birmingham International, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Leeds Bradford, Liverpool, London City, Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton and London Stanstead, Manchester, Newcastle, Southampton airports.

    You can fly with British airways or use low cost airlines such as BMI, Easy Jet, Flybe, or Jet 2.
    Prices go as low as £25 for a single trip with a return ticket costing being between £80-£140 depending on when you book with mid-week being the cheapest.

    What happens when I get to Nice Airport?

    We will meet you at the arrival gate and drive you back to base camp approximately 45-50 minutes drive. Once at base camp we will provide you with your equipment and take you food shopping before taking you down to one of the launching points on Cassien, depending on which area you wish to target, North, South, West arms etc..

    What facilities are available on the holiday package?

    We have a 6 berth caravan which can sleep up to four people and we also have a large canvas tent which can sleep up to four people. Base camp also has a restaurant serving good food, a bar, a swimming pool and tennis court. Free Internet is available and there is a large, clean shower block with toilets for you to use.

     
    How long can I stay for?

    You can stay as long as you like and change your package to suit. Should you want a week on the bank and a week with use of facilities then this can be arranged through Angling International.

    We are making our own way to the lake and want to hire a boat. Can this be arranged?

    Yes you will be able to contact me directly or through Angling international. We provide boat, echo, engine and leisure battery hire. Rod and full tackle hire is also available should you require it.

     
    How much bait do I need?

    We recommend a minimum of 5kg per week of boilies with a range of hookbaits. If you are moving around a lot and using the fourth rod option then we would suggest more. We have plenty of bait in stock and can bring you more, as and when you need it and we also sell particles should you want to bulk up the feed.

    How do I get food supplies?

    We do a food shop on the first day and take a list off you for two days later which we will deliver directly to where you are fishing.
    Alternatively, if you are in a pair and have some one to look after the equipment, then you can meet us and we can take you to the supermarket.

    How do I make contact when on the bank?

    Our guide Matt always has a mobile phone on him and he will give you the number once you arrive.
